Indonesia Holiday and Business Visa

 
I.Nationals of the following countries DO NOT require a visa to enter Indonesia for TOURIST visit up to 30 days:
Brunei, Darussalam, Chile, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, Malaysia, Morocco, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam

II. Nationals of the following countries can now apply for their TRANSIT (7 days maximum stay) and/or TOURIST visa upon arrival at the following Airports/Seaports in Indonesia for a maximum visit of 30 days:
Algeria, Argentine, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, China, Cyprus, Czech, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Laos, Latvia, Libya, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Netherland, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Panama, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Surinam, Sweden, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom

III. Those whose countries ARE NOT included in the above lists or wish to stay longer than 30 days in Indonesia, should apply for their Tourist visa in advance.

You need to provide us with the following documents:

Tourist visa:
  • Passport (with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date of entry into Indonesia) with blank pages to affix the visa sticker
  • One completed and signed visa application form
  • One recent coloured passport size photograph
  • Must be UK Resident (with at least one month exceeding the validity of the requested visa) – for applications from the UK
  • Travel itinerary (proof of booking), including details of onward or return journey
  • Hotel Reservation (if applicable)
  • Bank Statement dated less than a month with a minimum balance of £ 1,000 (approx €1,300)
  • Depending on your status:
    • If employed – a recent letter (less than 1 month old) from applicant's employer certifying the applicant's obligation to return after the visit to Indonesia
    • If self employed - a confirmation letter from applicant's solicitor, or accountant, or Bank Manager certifying the applicant's obligation to return after the visit to Indonesia
    • For a student, submit confirmation letter of attendance from school, college or university certifying the applicant's obligation to return after the visit to Indonesia
    • "Au pair" or domestic help will have to show employer's passport and submit copy of the said passport and letter from employee certifying the applicant's obligation to return after the visit to Indonesia
  • Written approval from the Immigration Office in Indonesia (only for applications that need referral to the Authorities in Indonesia *

  • Pre-paid, self addressed, special delivery envelope

* All visa applications for Business, Tourist and Social Visits from nationals of the following countries need an approval from Immigration Office in Indonesia before travelling:
AFGHANISTAN, ALBANIA, ANGOLA, BANGLADESH, CAMEROON, CUBA, ETHIOPIA, GHANA, IRAQ, ISRAEL, NIGERIA, NORTH KOREA, PAKISTAN, SOMALIA, SRI LANKA, TANZANIA, TONGA
  • Allow four to six weeks before the Embassy receives the decision of the referral application from the authorities in Indonesia
  • DO NOT purchase any airline tickets before the visa is granted


Business visa:
  • Original passport, valid for at least 6 months from arrival date in Indonesia
  • One completed and signed visa application form
  • One recent coloured passport size photograph
  • Evidence that the applicant has sufficient funds to cover the cost of applicant's intended stay in Indonesia (Bank Statement dated less than a month or traveler's cheques) - approx €45 or £35 per day of stay
  • Letter from the applicant’s company in Ireland / UK setting out the reason and duration of the proposed visit, and responsibility for accommodation / maintenance costs
  • Letter from the inviting company in Indonesia setting out the reason and duration of the proposed visit, and responsibility for accommodation / maintenance costs
    If attending seminar / conference
  • A letter / invitation from the conference host setting out details, including nature, duration and programme of the conference / seminar
  • Visa Application Fee
  • Pre-paid, self-addressed, special delivery envelope


How long does it take for the visa to be organized?
It takes 6 working days for the visa to be issued once the correct documents are with the embassy. For applications from Ireland the total processing time is 10 working days. For applications from the UK – 8 working days.

What’s the visa validity?
The visa is valid for 3 months from the date it’s been issued.

How long can I stay in Indonesia?
The allowed stay in Indonesia is up to 60 days.

What’s the visa fee?

Applicants from Ireland:  3-Month Single Entry Tourist/Business visa - €155.

Applicants from UK: 3-Month Single Entry Tourist/Business visa - £85.
